Hey,
I needed a tripod for my older Sony Mini DV Cam Corder as well as my current Cannon point and shoot camera. This unit is the ticket!!! Super easy to use. Set up is a snap as well as tear-down. It's really light weight, but feels very solid at the same time. Great looking, sleek and easy to store. For the $$$, why look any further or pay any more than you have to!!!

This tripod is great. It is well built and lightweight. Amazon continues to amaze me with there great customer service and item selection. I spent some time reading reviews and finally went with this tripod. Great price and Great Item. Ordered this product on a Monday and recieved on Friday even with the free shipping!

The Price to Quality ratio is excellent on this one. Buy this and you won't be disappointed. Don't listen to "plastic parts and heavy" review. It is listed as $40+ regular and I bought this for $30+ on sale. If you are a particular person then better not buy some $40 dollar tripod. But if you just want to have something to prop your camera, then this is the one. I use it for my Sony A100 DSLR and voila! I don't have to put my camera on a rock or ask some stranger to take a picture of me and my family whenever we are on vacation.

The motion of the head gives extremely smooth pans and tilts.
This is one of the few cheaper tripods I've owned that I actually like!
If you have a smaller camcorder and are looking for a tripod, this is the one I would recomend, for the price and quality.
