Customer Reviews: Great Monopod. September 21, 2008 J. Dalpe (Reno, NV) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This is a great monopod for the money. It's tall enough for me at 6'2", and has some extra height for taking vertical photos (the ball head pivots the camera down to the side of the pod). The clamps are easy to use to change height. A couple of notes: the ball head is hard to get tight if you really don't want it to move, and the black finish scratched from contact with other metal. I still think it's a great value for my needs.
Great, great monopod for the money August 22, 2008 Doctor Sam (Stanford, CA USA) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
This is an absolute bargain of a monopod! Think of it as a lesser quality Manfrotto for 1/10th of the price!
Pros:
-Price
-Ball head top
-Solid aluminum construction
-very light
-spiked bottom with rubber boot cover
-69 inches!!! (I am 6'6" tall and when I mount my camera, it is at eye level!)
-Doesn't slide down or collapse under weight of camera (D-SLR)
Cons:
-It is not Manfrotto quality... but for this price, would you expect it to be?
-The ballhead at the top is not as simple to use or as high of quality as I wish it was, but this really isn't a big deal.
Overall, for this price, this is a monopod that has no serious rivals. Highly recommended.
