Product Description Take the versatility of a ball head, add true ergonomic control and you get the 322RC2: a photographic head that allows you to unblock, move, position and lock your camera with one hand in one position thanks to the revolutionary design of its grip handle, which incorporates the ball lock lever and can also mount the 322RS shutter release accessory. A friction control wheel lets you regulate the power of the blocking mechanism to match the weight of your camera/lens. The 322RC2 is made from magnesium for lightweight performance, and is designed to keep the weight of your kit as close as possible to the tripod's center of gravity by way of its reduced height. It is this fact, matched with the precision construction of the 322RC2 that gives the head its load capacity of 11lbs (5kg). Complete with built-in bubble spirit level and quick release camera plate (standard 1/4' screw, with secondary safety pin). Suitable for use with 35mm or medium format cameras.

Love Joysticks July 28, 2010 James C. Kingman (Moline, IL United States) This is an outstanding product, as most products I have had from Manfrotto have been. It is extremely versitile particularly when used with a 35mm sized camera and long lens. It has so many different configurations that it takes a while for you to find which is right for you. While it is heavy, you use it on a tripod so it doesn't matter, but it does add weight to your camera bag. Very smooth in operation and easy to pinpoint your target. Great product!
Well Built Prodcut July 19, 2010 MP (LAX) I do like this grip. I would like to see this a little lighter as this head is almost as heavy as my carbon fiber legs. But I do like the quick release, the ability to pan quickly and accurately for the shot.
Love this quick release head May 30, 2010 Imshyanne (California-SF Bay Area) I am starting to get arthritis in my hands and trying to turn a "screw type" mount is difficult. This joystick is a blessing. I love it. It is very easy to mount and dismount the tripod plus making directional changes. I highly recommend the Manfrotto Joystick Head.
Joystick Head May 26, 2010 C. Grear (Here and There) Manfrotto 322RC2 Joystick Head Short is a useful piece of equipment. It's horizontal positioning provides leverage for the camera's weight. The adjustable tension feature gives a range of ease of use. The only thing that was a little disconcerting was when it went through airport security it caused a bit of a ruckus because it appeared to be some sort of a menacing object to the ladies staring at the x-ray monitors.
a must have May 17, 2010 Ronald C. Schroeder (USA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Very will built. Like a tank. This is a must have if your at a party or shooting a wedding. Enables you to tweak in a second. Just squeeze and move the camera.
This is a professional device. Made for a professionals. I'm glad I spent the money . I have something that will never wear out. I think the best thing about this is I can take the camera off the tripod..shoot hand held pics and then set the camera on the mount with just a press downward, and it clicks tight and is locked in. To remove the camera, just flip the arm forward and you are free to shoot.
Very very well built. Pricey,,??,, but you get your moneys worth. Very happy I added this to my camera outfit. The camera mount can be moved with just a few screws. Top, side,....you name it. Versatility is a good word for this mount.
