| Customer Reviews: Not the right model for Tracker 3 as listed. April 15, 2010 Ivan E. Fuentes (Los Angeles, CA USA) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
Vanguard lists this Quick Shoe as the correct spare for the Tracker 3 tripod, but in strict order, it's a couple of millimeters smaller than the original, so it gets loose on the tripod. Original part also had an easier screw method.
According to the text on my tripod's head, the correct spares are really QS-38 and 42, but when I did my research, I found out they were discontinued. Way to go, Vanguard.
I might have to take my tripod to Samy's and start checking quick plates to find the best fit.
Quick release shoe December 29, 2009 John T. Gardner (San Diego, CA) It does what it's supposed to do. However, I gave it only four stars because it didn't have enough adjustment to get the focus point of the camera lens over the center axis of the pan-head. My Sony DSC-HX1 does a great job of panoramas by stitching the shot together electronically. While it does work, the ideal would be to have the pivoting axis directly under the spot in the lens where the focus is.

The review for a small part for a tripod should be short, it works, as I cannot buy the one I wanted, the original one with the pin.
