Product Description The KT ZZ-STH-3N1 Tripod holder system is an excellent addition to your 3N1 sling backpack allowing you to carry along a small field tripod for stable shooting. Easy three step installation allows you to quickly take off or install the holder while not inhibiting the quick draw function of the 3N1's. The Kata Tripod Holder system is designed to fit all 3N1's including KT D-3N1-10, KT D-3N1-20 and KT D-3N1-30.

| Customer Reviews: Works well July 23, 2010 CDNMTLR Just got this item for my Kata 3N1-20 bag. Not to mention that Kata bags are amazing... this tripod holder works well.
It does not seem to be the most secure holder I have seen and I think they could design a better holder... but it does the job.
I carry a full size Giottos tripod which extends about a foot higher than my bag and I'm not overly worried that it will fall out. However I'm not going to go jogging with it either and I have to take care when bending over. Note that when I carrying my tripod I use my Kata pack as a true backpack (using both shoulder straps).
Since I don't know of another option I purchased this holder despite the reviews and I'm happy.
Very disappointing product April 18, 2010 Marco Cinco (Springfield NJ) 2 out of 5 found this review helpful
First of all, the pouch does not fit most decent-sized tripods. I purchased this as an accessory for the Kata KT D-3N1-20. I did not realize that the bag, coupled with this product, and my tripod (Vista Voyager) don't go together. I should have measured all three together before making this purchase. Moreover, the pouch doesn't fit my tripod. Oh. I mentioned that already.
I guess this product would be good for smaller tripods.
Not very convenient April 16, 2010 blee 1 out of 5 found this review helpful
The backpack I have is KATA D-3N1-33. This looks very fat with rectanglular shape. When you put the tripod hold on the the front side of the backpack, it doesn't look so good.
Works well with the 3N1 March 19, 2010 E. Lacey (Shrewsbury, MA United States) 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
The Kata KT 3N1 Tripod Holder is a well constructed "pocket" that can attach to the Kata KT D-3N1-33 3 In 1 Sling /Backpack with Laptop Slot, and perhaps some other bags as well (if you are someone who likes to customize your gear...) I purchased this item together with the 3N1-33. The tripod holder attaches to the face of the backpack, and would easily hold a tripod of almost any size. The construction of this holder is very good. The main loop at the top of the bag is very well sewn and can withstand quite a bit of stress. I am less certain about the stabilizer straps at the bottom-- those are much smaller and seem more apt to eventually tear. This is a one-size-fits-all item, and was actually a bit large for my current tripod (Gitzo 2541EX). However, I have used some larger tripods in the past (e.g. the Bogen 3021) that would require a larger holder, and this would easily accommodate such tripods.
As a side note, I would have liked Kata to attach D-Rings to the sides of the 3N1 bags to allow this holder to attach to either side as well as on the front-- that would simplify taking the bag and tripod in the cabin of airplanes. I actually prefer my tripod attached to the side of my bag for walking around as well, however, this can create weight distribution challenges for your bag.
Ultimately, I did not keep my 3N1 bag. I did, however, consider keeping this tripod holder, and attempted to adapt it to use with my other bags. Unfortunately, the design of this item makes it difficult to adapt to other bags, so I returned it. Still, if I could have sewn in a D-Ring onto my bag, I would likely have kept this item.
