Product Description
This is a professional muslin backdrop made from a heavier 100% cotton material. The 6x10' size (actually about 5.7x9' after shrinkage) weighs 1.9lbs. Prism premium cotton muslin backdrops are offered in three standard sizes:10X20' (actually 9X18', 5.7lbs) 10X12' (actually 9X10.8', 3.8lbs) 6X10' (actually 5.7X9', 1.9lbs) Special dyes are used to obtain well saturated colors which appear vibrant and not washed out. All sides are stitched to avoid unraveling and a 3.4" rod pocket is sewn into the top. Each muslin is folded and comes in a plastic bag to avoid moisture and stainage and then each bag is packed in a cardboard box for shipping.

Granted you get what you pay for, but following other reviews I was expecting something better. The muslin gets easily wrinkled and requires frequent ironing between shoots, since you need to put it away and fold it so that it doesn't get covered with dust.
Also, would it take that much time/money to actually cut loose threads once it's done being sewn? I received two of these (one to replace the first that was really in poor shape), and both were in the same sorry state.
I think I'll switch to using paper instead, unfortunately.

I used this backdrop to take headshots of a high school theater class. The size was just right for the applicataion, easy to manage, deep black color. I investigated making my own backdrop, but after I saw the low price on this one I just bought it.

I love this backdrop. It is thick and appears very black in photos. You will get the look you're going for with this one. I would definitely recommend this backdrop to others.

For the price that I paid I expected to get a very thin material. The material is a good weight and the black color is very sharp. I am very satisfied with this product.
