5 out of 5 stars Works as intended   July 1, 2010

It works, and it's pretty much the same QR plate that comes with my Bogen 488RC2 ballhead. I keep one QR plate on my camera, and one on my heavy tele lens. The [...] bucks price tag seems to be reasonable now, it used to be higher.

5 out of 5 stars My Most Used Manfrotto Accessory   May 28, 2010

I buy all Manfrotto Brand equipment, due to my first purchase, this little quick release plate.

Build quality is unmatched, and takes abuse with no signs of wear. Buying professional quality the first time will save you money in the long run. I know I can cross this item over for use on many other Manfrotto products/support systems, and Manfrotto will be around for many years to come.

I actually use the plate more now, having purchased the RS-5 Camera Strap from Black Rapid. Instead of using the smaller screw-on mount from their design, which has the camera hanging inverted, I use the 200 RC2 for a quick and easy transition from strap to tripod.

I also use 2 Plates & 2 Adapters when using my Custom T Flash Bracket (for event shooting/wedding), which allows me to place the camera system on the tripod and remove it quickly without having to disassemble my entire system.

It is solid and heavier, which I don't mind.

I own 12 of these. Buy yours today.

Cheers, Drew Loden

The plate that I ordered was just what I needed. The seller was quick, precise and provided good communications. I will recommend this seller. Very happy with this transaction.

5 out of 5 stars Works just like the one that came with my ballhead   April 16, 2010

Not much to say about this. It's nothing more than the same RC2 mount that came with a couple of different heads that I own. I bought this for a zoom, and I keep another as a spare.
